I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Epic Games (New York, NY) in Feb 2022
Interview
The Recruiter had difficulties in speaking English and it seems was not prepared. The questions were so generic and sometimes even repeated. The answers have been just taken without any further reaction (they did really care about the answers?).
Then via email got the an oppurtinity but the quality of the recruiter disappointed me. I do not want to work with them. Especially after they have asked mostly about where I come from and whether or not i am native etc. That was a nogo Question, seriously.

Question 1
Q: Why do you want to work at Epic Games?
Q: Where are you from?
The first round was a video call interview. This was terrible, they canceled the interview 30 minutes before without any reason, I had no idea what happened, they didn’t even send an explanation about this
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic Games (Vancouver, BC)
Interview
screen call on google meet. I was uncomfortable that they used google meet paired with gemini and recorded the interview. It also became apparent that the interviewer had no technical background and was simply recording my answers for review later.
I applied online. I interviewed at Epic Games in Oct 2025
Interview
The whole process is non-standard and quite unprofessional. I put "very difficult" just because there is not much one can do to prepare for such interviews. The questions were quite easy once you realize what they are looking for. Unlike large companies the recruiter doesn't have much idea about the interview process. The salary is not negotiated until the end of the process. They give you a take-home task which takes a few hours to complete and a panel discussion on that. Before that there is a round of "technical" interview.
