Interview
I originally applied for this role in February this year. The whole process took 5 months. During that time I had 8 interviews. The first was a chat with the recruiter, and the second with the hiring manager and a member of the team. Following that, there were 4 interviews with 2 stakeholders in each interview. After that I was told there would be a decision. However, they obviously couldn't make their minds up as I had another 3 interviews with different people. All in all I think I spoke to around 14 people. One was with a vice president, which I thought would be to see if I was a cultural fit, but she was asking more technical questions and it was clear she was quite far removed from the day-to-day role.
After not being successful, I asked for feedback and was ignored. I think after giving up many hours, even whilst on holiday, I could have at least had some feedback. I think it's a shame they're happy to waste candidate's time and can't give feedback. I've interviewed people before and you can generally make up your mind after two interviews max. 8 interviews is excessive.
