-Started with an online assessment of arithmetic, spelling, and typing. I usually don't bother to continue with job applications that require these (insulting) assessments but I am genuinely interested in working in climate tech so I took it. My resume should have been enough to demonstrate I have the basic skills tested in the assessment. -Next was a video screen. After getting on the call the interviewer turned her camera on so I did the same, at which point she notified me that she would be turning her camera off but I was required to keep mine on. I let her know that reciprocity with video is the standard in professional environments and that I was not interested in interviewing any further and left the call. Can not think of any reason besides screening for gender/race/neurodivergence that they would require this. Or perhaps trying to narrow the applicant pool to people who will not push back against their "authority". Big red flag, would not recommend.
