I received a phone call from an Extra Space Storage team member after submitting my application, who was not upfront about the fact that she was interviewing me, or how many questions she had for me. She asked if I had a little bit of time to talk and thinking we were only going to discuss logistics of setting up a future interview, I informed her that I only had a couple minutes. As she proceeded to ask me more than one question that sounded like formal interview questions, I let her know I wasn't able to really be present or properly answer questions as I was expecting an important phone call and trying to leave to make an appointment on time. After informing her of this, another phone interview should have been scheduled, or at least she should have admitted that it would take more than a couple minutes to ask me her questions, which were extensive, and required a lot of thought and time to answer, so the interview felt like subterfuge, as well as highly unprofessional and disrespectful of my time and boundaries. And of course, I wasn't picked to go further in the interview process because I wasn't able to give the interview my full attention, and didn't even realize I was being interviewed until we were pretty far into it. The interviewer also asked me a couple questions that I had just answered, which made me feel like she wasn't listening.
