Flexport Operations Associate interview questions

Overall the interview was a positive experience. The entire process was completed from the initial phone interview to the in-person portion in roughly two weeks. I was hoping for a fairly quick turn around as I was extremely interested in pursuing this opportunity and that is exactly how the interview process turned out. On the phone interview, my interviewer and I discussed the basics about my background around logistics and also my experience and potential fit at the company. After the phone interview, I had the feeling that there was genuine consideration for my candidacy. My beliefs were further cemented after the interview that this opportunity to work at this company would not come easy because they only would accept smart, driven people who could not only survive, but thrive in the industry. Completely got the sense this was a 100% mission driven, all-in culture that only brought more excitement for the in-house interview. During the in-house interview, I ended up receiving two more interviews than originally scheduled (which was a huge plus). I ended up staying twice as long as scheduled as well. I definitely received the sense that these industry experts were interested and willing to see if I could meet the challenge. Every interviewer seemed to have their own style that I as a candidate knew I had to adapt to if I wanted to impress. I consider myself a very competitive person so each challenge did not deter me. The entire process seemed well organized as there was a plan for how a candidate would be interviewed. In all, the interview lead me to believe this company was were I wanted to change gears and become a part of something that is innovative and unique. The whole process was smooth and fast.

Interview process was two stages. Applied online and heard back within a couple days. First step was a skype interview with one of their managers - the interview had a lot of questions about my resume and "tell me about yourself" questions. I heard back within a day and was invited onsite to meet with 3 more people from their operations team the next week - including their VP and COO. They have a pretty cool office in downtown SF. I liked everyone I met - they have a great mission that everyone really seems to believe in and they're all proud about how hard they work. Interviews were a mix of case study and fit questions. Felt like I answered all the questions and connected with everyone. Not sure why I didn't get the job, and didnt get much of an explanation.
