The GEICO interview process happens in a series of stages and is the longest interview process that I have experinced to date!
I applied online (sumitted resume and a cover letter).
I recieved a call the very next day, and had a phone interview. The hiring mang. was asking me a couple of questions in regards to my prior work history and expereinces. The person was very friendly. Then proceeded to tell me about training hours & salary compensation. Afterwards, I was scheduled for an in person interview in the afternoon for the next day.
THE DAY OF THE INTERVIEW:
I arrived about 10 mins early and there was a group of 9 ppl there including myself scheduled for the same time. We all then proceeded to take a personality test (that was about 20 mins long), then we took a skills test (was about 45 minutes long). This test was to test your typing and multitasking skills. Then, we saw a 15 minutes video presentation talking about the job descriptions, the company, and benefits.
(GEICO has an incredible benefits package and room for growth into upper management)
Afterwards, we all left the room and we were called one by one. When they called me, I went into further detail about my resume, strenghts/weaknesses, why I wanted to work for GEcio, and the typical interview questions. I went further on in the interview and they put me in this room where I had 20 mins to study some information on a false company. its here where i performed a role play excercise with the HR mang. After this was done, they would ask me how I think I did. ( it felt a little strang doing this role play thing.)
After this was over I went back into the lobby and filled out some paper work and was told that another hr mang. would be meeting with me to shadow a person who is a customer rep. I shadowed the person for about 40 minutes and then a different Hr mang. pulled me to the side and interviewed me again. Here is where I was explained again the salary, the hours i would be working and the training hours that i would be doing. They said that they will call me back within a week either or.
I got a call two days later with an offer. The total interview was 6hrs long. If you got an interview with them make sure that you dont paln anything for that day because its a long process but i have to admit it went by fast because your're busy the whole time.
