I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Garner Health Technology in Aug 2022
Interview
I really enjoyed interviewing with Garner! My process was pretty straightforward:
1. Intro call with recruiter
2. Coding interview (1 hour)
3. 3 rounds of behavioral interviews (2 hours)
Everyone I met was kind and very excited about the company mission. My questions were answered honestly and there was transparency about the realities of working at a startup and how it isn't for everyone.
I appreciated that the interview process wasn't overwhelming (e.g. companies that have 7+ rounds of interviews). It felt like the perfect amount for the team to get to know me and vice versa.
After being extended an offer, the hiring manager had two different calls with me (they offered to chat both times) to answer my questions and address concerns I had. They even offered the contact info of a team member for the team I would have joined and I got to chat with them as well! It felt as though they were invested in my career growth which was great to see.
Also somewhat smaller thing, but the recruiter mentioned the role's salary range in our intro call without me even asking. I believe this needs to become a standard across all companies and it's great to see Garner being a leader on this!

Question 1
Discuss a project you weren't motivated on and share how you were able to navigate around the low motivation to get your work done.
Phone screening, then HM, then final round.
Not too difficult. Mostly around Garner as a start up and how/why you chose to apply with them. Vibe seems to be fast and quick page. Open communication and open feedback. Sounds like fast pace and want dedicated folks instead of just something consistent/stable.

Interview
The interview process was straightforward. I had 4 interviews. The first one was a phone screening, where they asked about my background and things of that nature. The second was an interview with the hiring manager, again just to get a sense of my background.
The third and fourth I had in the same day. The third was a technical interview that was "not leetcode style". I did a easy live coding interview that was health care focused.
The fourth was a more in depth interview about certain projects I've worked on and more technical questions.

Interview
Garner's interview process is very quick and efficient - I appreciate how quickly things moved. The interviews felt appropriate with what was outlined for the role, and everyone I interviewed with was easy to talk to. After receiving the offer, I also had an additional opportunity to chat with the hiring manager, which helped clarify remaining questions I had.
