I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Garner Health Technology in Jun 2022
Interview
Interviewing with Garner was a very positive experience for me. The process consisted of 5 rounds:
1. An intro call with a recruiter
2. A take-home technical assessment (~6 hours)
3. A follow-up technical discussion on the solution of the technical assessment + systems design questions (45 minutes)
4. 3 rounds of behavioral interviews (2 hours)
5. Technical + behavioral discussion with leadership (30-45 mins)
Overall, Garner did a thorough job evaluating me as a candidate and was transparent the whole interview process regarding feedback. The technical assessment took me some time, but it gave me a great overview and introduction into the company, so I cannot complain.
In terms of the interactions I had throughout the interview process, everyone that I got the opportunity to meet was very mission-driven and clearly cared a lot for what the company has set out to achieve. I could tell how much everyone genuinely cared about what they were working on, and that was a big motivator in me accepting the offer.
After extending an offer, they were very respective of other ongoing interview timelines and stayed in communication with me as I made a decision. Ultimately, I decided to accept the offer given the great impressions that I had received throughout interviewing and getting the opportunity to work on a product that can truly make a difference in the US healthcare system.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you disagreed with a manager.
Phone screening, then HM, then final round.
Not too difficult. Mostly around Garner as a start up and how/why you chose to apply with them. Vibe seems to be fast and quick page. Open communication and open feedback. Sounds like fast pace and want dedicated folks instead of just something consistent/stable.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Garner Health Technology in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview process was straightforward. I had 4 interviews. The first one was a phone screening, where they asked about my background and things of that nature. The second was an interview with the hiring manager, again just to get a sense of my background.
The third and fourth I had in the same day. The third was a technical interview that was "not leetcode style". I did a easy live coding interview that was health care focused.
The fourth was a more in depth interview about certain projects I've worked on and more technical questions.

Interview
Garner's interview process is very quick and efficient - I appreciate how quickly things moved. The interviews felt appropriate with what was outlined for the role, and everyone I interviewed with was easy to talk to. After receiving the offer, I also had an additional opportunity to chat with the hiring manager, which helped clarify remaining questions I had.
