I had reached out to a ZP employee through a mutual friend to discuss her experience with the company. She was really happy to be with the company and was glad to talk about her experience. We spoke on the phone for 20 minutes chatting about my background in operations and that I was looking into a few positions with the company. She thought a good role for me was for the Vendor Ops Analyst position. She'd get in touch with her colleagues to get back to me.
The next day I had a phone interview with 2 members. We talked about my background, how did I improve an operational process, a time that I had to learn a new skill, and what are my proudest achievements. They really want to know how you think and process information. They invited me for an in person interview.
At the on site interview, you're asked to take off your shoes when you arrive. *Wear clean socks!* When brought in for the interview, there was a welcome message on the whiteboard with my name on it. It was a fantastic touch to make me feel welcomed. I interviewed with a bunch of people and had lunch with them as well. I really got to know the values of the company and the role. They are looks for sharp individuals who are a great cultural fit. Everyone I met was motivated and very happy - they truly made you feel welcome at every step of the process.
It was the best interview experience I've ever had.
