Internet Brands Project Manager interview questions

The interview process seems fake and phony from the outset. I applied online and the recruiter got back to me in a few days with a phone screen (this was in late October 2020). Then I didn't hear back for several weeks and then I decided to follow up with the recruiter on my application. She reached out and set up a 1-hour video interview with the hiring manager. This went well and I was given a take-home assignment which has a disclaimer and potential red flag which read "this exercise is entirely voluntary, that once submitted, this material becomes the sole property of Internet Brands and we may use it for any purpose and in any form". After the take home assignment, I didn't receive any reviews or feedback on the material I submitted, instead I was quickly advanced to an onsite interview with 3 people and during this session, there was no discussion of the take-home assignment. I didn't get any feedback after this round as well and was moved on to a final round interview with the VP of Engineering and CPO. My overall take is that the process is not legitimate and they are seeking out candidates to solicit ideas and inspiration for their uninspiring web products and services. The frustrating thing about this experience is that they wasted my time for a period too long that I wished that I had never applied in the first place.

The interview process is absolutely fake. I read other interview tips before I got on the call with the recruiter. She didn't know much about position, specific products to work on and seemed not very interested in getting to know me as a candidate. She basically read the script and then sent me a take-home. On the take-home assignment, it is clearly written as "this assignment is voluntary but once completed, it totally belongs to Internet Brands". (not the same words but this meaning) I got the clue that they were not seriously hiring people but just looked for free work. Very bad experience. There are some clues you can spot early: 1) recruiter is not very familiar with the positions 2) they are not very interested in how you can contribute 3) they rush to send you the take-home and are never sure when to get back to you once you submit it (very obvious already!) 4) the "voluntary statement"
