I was contacted by the recruiter, and had a great conversation via phone screen. I then had a call with another manager, because the hiring manager was on vacation. After the phone interview with the manager, I was asked to interview on-site in San Francisco. Interview went well, one particular panelist did not seem like they wanted to be there to interview and it almost seemed like they were trying to rush through it and leave. After the on-site interview, I was scheduled for a Zoom interview with one of the Directors, and they never showed up for the call, because apparently they had another mandatory meeting, and I was never notified. I was told I would have the interview rescheduled. I never hear an update or a reschedule time frame. I finally got a call from my recruiter that they went with another candidate with more experience. It then took over 2 months to get my reimbursement check from my travel.
The interview was neutral, but it would have been rated as a positive experience if I hadn't have wasted my time with the panelist who no-showed, and then instead of a reschedule call, got a call that they moved forward with another candidate. That kind of candidate experience is not ideal.
