I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Music & Arts (Las Vegas, NV) in Jan 2019
Interview
Had a cordial phone interview for the music teacher position. I didn't accept due to the enormous amount that they take out of what you charge for lessons. You get to set your own price, but then they take 40%, which is a bit on the ridiculous side. You're also an independent contractor. I've been in these type of positions before, and unless you're teaching guitar, piano, drums, or some other High Interest instrument, it really isn't worth the hassle. Not enough pay-off for highly qualified instructors to even bother.

I applied online. I interviewed at Music & Arts (Lawrenceville, GA) in Jul 2023
Interview
It was very relaxing. It felt as though two musicians were just having a conversation about their musical past. We also spoke on my education level. Also, the way I would handle my students.

Question 1
Could you demonstrate proficiency in your instrument?
They called me to talk about past teaching experiences and music abilities. It was an easy interview, and the bosses seemed really chill. I bet it would be a fun place to work.
