I was contacted by email after submitting my resume to my local Music & Arts. The district manager at the time was a lot of fun to talk to and it was one of the easiest interviews I've ever had. In truth it was more like a conversation than an interview. I wish she'd gone into more detail about what I'd be doing as I had no idea the job I'd accepted was essentially an Assistant Manager position.
