I got the call from one external recruiter with proposition of the QA Analyst (Onboarding System, HR) role at Penguin Random House for 3+ month contract. Person who would be the best candidate, should start immediately (around one week) after face to face interview. The recruiter set up phone interview for me for the next day. I had conversation with two persons. My interview went very well because recruiter called after interview the same day and told me that interviewers were very impressed with my skills and qualifications and they would like to set up face to face interview. I also sent them my letters of thanks through my recruiter. Couple days later an in-person interview was set up. I had interview with the same two interviewers and our conversation went very well. After interview, the manager gave me her business card and told me that I could reach her at any time. The ladies (interviewers) both told me that they would inform my recruiter regarding the next step.
I contacted my recruiter and informed that my interview went well and we were going to look forward for positive result. Once again, I sent them my letters of thanks through the recruiter. It's been two weeks since I have been waiting for recruiter's feedback, but she hasn't contacted me yet. Last week (one week after interview) I sent follow up letter to recruiter but she did not respond me back. After two days I called her and left her a message politely inquiring about my interview outcome: "I hope all is well. I sent you follow up email, but you didn't respond me back. I know how busy you probably are, but I am eager to hear when you have an update. I wanted to inquire as to whether I am still under consideration for the position at Penguin Random House or it has been filled. Please, call me back".
After the message I still have not heard back from my recruiter. Yesterday I sent follow-up letter to manager who gave me her business card.
Never heard back from neither recruiter nor the manager. It is very impolite, unprofessional and disrespectful.
