Two phone interviews prior to being brought onsite. The facility was amazing however there seemed to be a misalignment between what the hiring manager was hiring for vs what his manager wanted. The hiring manager needed "expertise & knowledge" however the manager of the hiring manager needs help scaling and would like someone who can crank out 120 projects at a given time. The type of consulting my company does is not PM work, therefore, I was not a good fit. It would have been easier to just talk on the phone with that man for 10 minutes to know I wasn't a good fit for that position. Another negative part of that interview was that after that interview he just got up and walked out of the room very abruptly, I had no idea where to go or what to do after that so I escorted myself out of the building which I've never had to do when being brought in by an organization. I thought maybe he had to run to a meeting or something but he actually just was in the hallway talking to a colleague. I was turned off by that a bit. As a female, I always look for female leaders within an organization and I only had interaction with one other female who was the recruiter. The company is going places and growing very rapidly so as they begin to catch up with their own growth I would expect them to self-correct in those areas.
