I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Keizer, OR) in Apr 2014
Interview
The interview process was a lot simpler than my previous interviews for other retail positions.
I was interviewed by 3 managers back to back. Once the were all finished the first manager came into the room and offered me a position to work for Ross Dress for Less. Most of the questions were basic behavioral questions:
Tell me a time when...
Tell me about yourself...
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
How long would you like to work for our company?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me a time when you had a difficult time with a customer?
The Ross cashier interview is brief and straightforward, focusing on customer service, handling busy environments, basic math, availability, and reliability. It often includes situational questions and may be followed by a quick hiring decision.
They ask basic work experience questions, basic problem solving questions, they confirm your availability and let you know you’ll receive an email/ phone call with start date and so on
Thorough and very detailed. It's a particular answer they are looking for. And you will know through the interview if you are doing well. And there are quite a few questions.
