Very unprofessional , the assistant store manager had no idea about benefits nor the union. They had to have a floral employee explain the job specifications. We were interrupted every 10 minutes by other employees knocking on the door asking questions about their break, over rings , complaints about other employees.

They asked what brought me to safeway, about my previous experience, and my availability. Also gave me a rundown of all the benefits (union, discounts, staff events), they were very thorough. Then they asked for references.

I received a phone call asking about availability and open positions. At the in-person interview, there were simple and easy questions. The only way you'd mess up on the questions is if you don't come to the interview at all without explanation. Expect to be drug tested on the spot.
