State Farm Customer Service Representative (CSR) interview questions

One in person interview followed by a shadow day. Main point was to get to know you and see what your experience is. To see if you would be a good fit for the office and have the qualities to be successful in sales.

Phone screen with an independent agent. None of the questions asked why I wanted to work for the specific agency or State Farm. Interviewer was straight-forward and to the point. Any equivocation would be met with dead silence (likely to prompt further answers). Pre-interview assessments consisted of a verbal/quantitative test and a "sales and leadership" test. The latter consisted of questions that asked the test taker to rate their agreement (on a five-point Likert scale) with statements that often overlapped with those found on psych. evaluations for anxiety, ADHD, and mood disorders. Few questions on the "sales and leadership" test asked about how the test taker deals with sales or leadership scenarios.
