I applied online. I interviewed at Toast Inc in Jan 2023
Interview
Applied for the position, was contacted by a person from
the talent recruitment department (too bad we can't
specify who exactly since it's forbidden to provide the
truth) to schedule a phone interview. I proceeded to select
and submit my desired date and time. The day of the
scheduled interview, and very close to the scheduled
interview time, I was email and told this day and time slot
were no longer available and that I should select a new
timeframe.
As with anything, things can and do come up very randomly
at times so I have them the benefit of the doubt and
selected a new date and time and received a confirmation
email. The day of the newly scheduled interview, I was
ghosted. No email, no phone call, nothing.
Ghosting potential candidates is a terrible practice to
partake in. It shows zero respect for others time and the
effort they put in to submitting an application. I probably
dodged a terrible organization and recruitment on this one,
but companies that do this to scheduled interviews, and
companies who tolerate this behavior by recruiters
towards potential candidates, should face some sort of
consequence and fine. Regardless of who they ghost. Stop
wasting peoples time. It's unacceptable behavior.
Thank you for taking the time to share this review. Candidate experience is very important to us, and I am disappointed to see that this wasn't reflected in your interview process. I will share this feedback with my team so that we can discuss further.
