I found the role on LinkedIn, applied through the website and answered standard questions. I then received a screening call with HR which was pretty standard after which there was a 1:1 interview with the hiring manager

Describe a project you lead and the challenges you faced and how you dealt with them
Screening round with recruiter who didn't seem to understand the role or the responsibilities of the job. No follow up from the recruiter for two weeks after which I reached out and was told I've not been selected as they're looking for at least 1 year of people management experience. The catch? I had 3 years of people management experience at the time, which was clearly hard for the recruiter to comprehend
