HR Interviewer is very knowledgeable of the industry and knows the who's who in the field but all are Americans. He doesn't know where the best technical writers are produced (school or firm). Line of questioning from the start was salary negotiations, which is good as it cuts to the chase but at the same time reduced the entire process into a haggling fest.
