Employee reviews
An innovative and progressive leader in the agriculture and transportation industries, CGB Enterprises, Inc. (CGB) began their modest start on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River in St. Louis, MO in 1969. Now, with 50+ years of seasoned experience, CGB has evolved into an enterprise with over 1,800 U.S. employees overseeing a diverse family of businesses. Headquartered in Covington, LA, CGB's organization delivers solutions for the buying, storing, selling, and shipping of agricultural products to a global supply chain. With over 100 grain facilities, CGB's access to barge, rail, and trucks across the Midwest and beyond accommodates sizeable operations in logistics, transportation, agri-finance, soybean processing, producer risk management, and other related fields and businesses. As the global demand for food and feed continued to rise, CGB gained the attention of two global companies, Zen-Noh and ITOCHU, and was subsequently purchased jointly by the two organizations in the late 1980s. Zen-Noh Grain Corporation's (ZGC) export elevator in Convent, LA is considered one of the fastest export elevators in the world and has undergone further upgrades to improve operational efficiency. ZGC relies on CGB and its vast network of elevators to feed that consumptive demand; we are truly linking America's heartland with global markets and helping to feed the world. Operating over 100 elevators primarily located along the Mississippi, Ohio, Arkansas, and Illinois Rivers allows CGB to source feed grains and soybeans from all prime U.S. growing areas. This geographical diversity allows for stable and secure delivery of quality grains regardless of weather fluctuations. CGB’s marketing teams are in touch with thousands of farmers, tracking local price fluctuations, learning crop conditions, reporting harvest results, and purchasing grain directly from them. These relationships have been in place for many years with these producers. With an inspiring history of over 50+ years of innovation, growth, and supportive leadership that values feedback, you’ll be proud to be part of an essential team where you can truly Contribute, Grow, and Belong.
