I loved my staff and the people I directly worked with.

Cons

Doctors are treated as if they are non professional staff in which they can replace at any time by management and the corporation. They also do not treat staff well either. They are belittling and I had come to realize nobody will ever be able to do enough for Amita, no matter how hard one tries.

Pros

Flex time - option to manage weekly hours to total 40/week. The option to schedule 2 x 15 minute breaks or 1 x 30 minute break per day (paid breaks)

Cons

Unnecessary surveillance - employees are very closely monitored and overworked. Vacant positions are not filled and existing personnel are required to pick up the extra workload. Morale is at an all time low. New employees are lured with the promise of bonus to be paid at the end of each quarter. No bonuses were paid at the end of the 3rd and 4th quarter in 2016. The Vice President promised that all eligible employees would receive their bonuses for the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2016 sometime in January 2017. This never happened. 30% employee discount was rescinded. Managers are directed to create unrealistic goals for employees who struggle on a consistent basis

Pros

Very fair hourly compensation-much higher than surrounding health systems. Overtime available. Great teamwork. Time off requests almost always accommodated (unless it absolutely cannot be done/too many people have taken that time). Management does not promise things that cannot be delivered. Even if it takes a little longer than expected, promises are kept. No micromanagement at all- everyone is treated as an adult and held to the responsibilities of their position. Not much travel between sites unless short staff-this allows patient and employee to develop trusting relationships and comfort.

Cons

Most sites require only one employee, it can get lonely. Communication about department information could use some improvement.
