Corporatism is taking over the company

Pros

Nice office, good benefits, some really great people. Company is growing rapidly.

Cons

Since the new president has taken over things have changed. CLC is becoming more like its parent company (FLEETCOR) which is constantly being called out for unscrupulous business practices. Employees and customers are nothing more than a number. VPs are bailing like rats leaving a sinking ship. CLC used to offer a real value, but with all the fees and fee increases that is quickly going away. Tim Downs is no longer the President (unfortunately). Glassdoor needs to update this info.

Company lacks appreciation for employees

Pros

Health benefits are pretty great. Some people can work from home. Working in the office is a comfortable atmosphere. Job starts out feeling promising and not dead end. Choosing your own schedule is a plus.

Cons

Pay is too low for amount of work required. No room to move up in the company. Higher management is petty and will retaliate over the smallest complaints. Management is all about being in their small circle and if not count yourself out of ever getting promoted or even well deserved raises. They are always short staffed and in need of hiring. Incentives are often offered for overtime however the company rarely actually pays the incentive to the employee. Training is terrible. New employees are turned out onto the floor having very little knowledge on how to do their job. Be weary of coworkers that are convinced they should be in management. Those are the ones management relies on to get all the gossip they pretend to hate.

Pros

The schedule and great leads/supervisors/management are the main reasons I've stayed. Schedules are set (which I prefer) but the fact that we're open 24/7 means you can work out a weird schedule if needed. Seniority and not changing your schedule often help if you ever do need to change it.

Cons

There are times where I don't feel valued. More often than not over the last 3 years. I've been here long enough that I'm paid what similar jobs start out at! I stick around because I can't afford a change right now. However, I would gladly leave if I found somewhere that could allow my schedule. I'm not alone in that and many of us have been considering leaving. I've personally considered working at Target instead. CLC paying temps and newer people so little means that the turnover is high. The starting pay hasn't matched similar jobs in the area since 2015. That puts strain on those of us that have been here longer and are expected to help out with a number of things. Even completely other departments' jobs get put on us if they have staffing or demand issues. Your pay doesn't go up if you're trained in more things, so why bother? Why do more than the minimum? While we're grateful for still having jobs right now, there's a lot of discontent. We weren't given raises this year but we've still been super busy. They gave us a stipend for the pandemic and working remotely but it only lasted 6 months. It stopped without warning. A total of $750 isn't replacement for a raise. If the company were truly doing a generous thing, they would've given us our raises and the stipend. Being told "jokingly" and repeatedly, "at least you have job security" by a member of management is a slap in the face at this point.
