Pros

The partners are amazing and work hard totals care of the customers! Great food is everywhere!

Cons

Top executives are poor leaders - bordering on dangerous. It's a matter of time before HEB is sued because of this. Just because your last name is Butt doesn't mean you have any business running a part of HEB! All partners know this, and everyone waits for the HEB execs to do something about it!

Pros

-If you are fortunate enough to get offered a full time the benefits are pretty good. -Great food, friendly atmosphere. -Very customer service oriented.

Cons

-Can schedule you 40 hours even if you're part-time and not offer you benefits unless you meet a certain quota of hours after a year. -Write employees up for calling in sick, even if you have a fever and provide the proper 2 hour notice. -Do not pay time and a half on holidays if you are part-time. -Though they make the schedule on Tuesday the week before, you do not see it until Friday, giving you not even three days notice before the next pay period begins. -If you're part-time expect to be treated more like a work horse than an individual with a personal life and needs.

The problems cascade from the top

Pros

Absolutely nothing. Hated every second of it.

Cons

Central Market claims to put their partners first. I spent years working tirelessly for them through a pandemic and they turned their backs on the people that kept the store running. They toss aside the experienced partners for the cheaper labor. Slowly, the perks that made Central Market a competitive business began to fade and they had no qualms with the shrinking bottom line. The General managers are all politics and no action. They all have a god complex. Don’t expect them to protect the welfare of employees, rather they would choose to bend over backwards for abusive guests before standing up for what’s right. Avoid this sink hole like the plague.
