Pros

I liked my coworkers, the idea of dutch bros was nice, there were occasional fundraising days for the community, and free monthly employee merch was pretty high quality

Cons

Rampant favoritism and mismanagement enabled by all the managers and higher management being best friends, low base pay and mediocre tips, hypocritical and mutually exclusive goals and expectations (they want to increase speed and yet at the same time promote some of the most difficult and time consuming drinks), chronic under staffing, the operators, regionals, and managers go on at least annual 'bonding trips' (they use company money to have a week at Disney ect.) even when the stands are financially struggling and more so bonding outings like renting a party bus, going bowling, ect., disfunctional communication about stand operations and events (often the managers are not told about bonus points days, or other special app promotions leading to even even greater under staffing and running out of products), regular changes to supposedly constant company wide procedures, insufficient and incredibly inconsistent training

Pros

Incredibly supportive coworkers Free drinks! Flexibility Positive work environment Decent pay for a barista position

Cons

Having to stand outside in the wind, rain, sun, heat, etc to take orders Very fast paced, can be super exhausting Having to endure incredibly rude customers - no different from any other customer service job though

Pros

free coffee and some cool people

Cons

The numerous rules, micromanagement, and the lack of adherence to these rules by managers create a hostile work environment. Furthermore, the presence of homophobia and racism further exacerbates the situation. The lack of tangible benefits associated with this job makes it an unsuitable choice for young adults who may not fully comprehend the negative consequences.
