Pros

Large well recognized and innovative credit union

Cons

I worked at Wings for nearly ten years in over ten different branches (on occasion to help out) and it wasn't until I left that I truly saw how awful they are. To start, there is a clear snobby "I'm better than you" attitude difference from those working south of the river versus north. The leadership and executives do not make themselves approachable and come off very stuck up, unfriendedly, and superior. The pay is really crappy, especially compared to many other credit unions in the area. I continually rocked my annual reviews but somehow could never advance. I even asked if I could simply learn some additional duties to better align myself with advancement opportunities and was given a HARD no, because that would require them paying me more. The branch co workers are great for the most part but each office has inconsistent vibes making your experience different at each one. It's like they don't have a shared vision or purpose other than growth and pleasing their ideal member. Their "ideal Member" is a white family with a white picket pence and stay at home soccer mom and it shows in their marketing. No diversity. Those that DO go above and beyond get taken advantage of. Just overall a pretty icky place to work which seems to worsen as they grow. For the record, I did not get fired and am not a disgruntled employee, I have many friends who still work their and I hate that they are still dealing with the same things.
