Prospective Employees Beware

Pros

Front line employees although undervalued and underserved still do what it takes to get the jobs done.

Cons

Abhorrent employee culture due to CEO who leads by fear and intimidation vs collaboration and lacks any empathy for front line employees' daily stress of providing for themselves and their families. Any sign of business challenges (especially during early stages of Covid or loss of a client) immediately results in the elimination of roles as more work piles on to existing employees without incremental compensation. A COO who regularly undermines the CEO in front of employees but lacks the back bone to challenge CEO to improve culture, service and products and patronizes his direct reports when his ego is challenged. A checked out HR department resulting in the inability to fill critical roles, offers poor medical, financial and self development benefits, minimal growth opportunities, and itself experiences the highest turnover within the department. The company offers an outdated commodity product that will soon be irrelevant and refuses to innovate at the expense of long term growth. Hourly employees subjected to harsh working conditions (lack of proper ventilation, air conditioning) and expected to work non stop shifts for non competitive compensation. Overall, an outdated and under-performing organization led by people who have no right to be called leaders.

We are sorry to read your impressions. Your comments, however, seem to ignore the results that our leadership team has achieved. While other companies in our industry shrank during the pandemic, we continued to grow and create new job opportunities for our employees. We implemented safety protocols well ahead of federal and local mandates. We have raised starting wages in each of our plants, we expanded benefits for all of our employees. And we are proud to have leveraged this growth to continue to create new leadership opportunities for employees throughout our organization. Our success as an innovator is best demonstrated by the list of world-class retailers who have licensed AccuStore to manage their store data or engaged our design team to create next-gen store experiences. Our success in offering sustainable solutions attracts some of the most environmentally conscious brands in retail. We are not perfect… we continue to learn from our employees and our customers. But we feel proud of the results that our leadership team has delivered.

Pros

Old system program that is really dysfunctional to work with and outdated that creates excess work. Also, It is important to be aware of potential challenges when negotiating your offer letter with this company. Some employees have reported difficulties related to transparency in the negotiation process, including the potential for the company to alter an employee's compensation package by removing their earned quarterly bonus until they meet a challenging sales quota. Additionally, some have reported challenges related to the lack of knowledge and communication skills of the recruiter, which can lead to misunderstandings or deceit. It is recommended that employees approach negotiations with caution, seek clarity on all terms and conditions, and ask questions to ensure they are fully informed before making any decisions.

Cons

This workplace has been a challenging environment to navigate due to several factors. Firstly, there is a culture of gossip amongst coworkers which can be distracting and unproductive. Additionally, I have found that there is a tendency for some colleagues to be judgmental, which can create a tense and unpleasant atmosphere. Another issue I have encountered is that the sales team seems to struggle to fulfill their roles, leaving a disproportionate amount of work for others to handle. Furthermore, the training provided by the company has been quite vague, leaving employees without the necessary support and guidance to succeed. Despite my attempts to seek help from colleagues and management, I have found that there is a lack of willingness to offer assistance. Speaking of management, I have also experienced challenges in this area. The manager does not provide adequate leadership or information to explain what is going on. Instead, they tend to redirect questions and concerns to other colleagues, which can be frustrating and unproductive. Additionally, the HR manager has been disappointing in terms of onboarding and benefits support. There seems to be a lack of investment in this area, which can make it challenging for new employees to feel fully integrated and supported. Overall, I have found that this workplace can be quite challenging and disheartening. It is my hope that these concerns will be addressed so that the company can become a more positive and productive environment for all employees.

As an employer, it is hard to see this type of message about our company plastered in social media with such animosity. We train managers in non-discriminatory practices, and fully investigate concerns when brought to our attention. You are welcome to bring your complaint to HR and we will take the necessary steps to address your concerns in the fairest way possible. We deeply regret that you or any other employee would feel this way and strive to be an employer where employees feel welcome, appreciated and valued.
