Pros

Trust me there are no advantages to working for this group.

Cons

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! HVMG stands for H- Horrible – The Company preaches “excellence” but delivers the worst service to their guests and employees, disloyal, they will use you up and throw away. V- Vindictive – They harvest unethical business practices, backstabbing, and retaliatory activities, just to destroy your career. M- Manipulative – All Corporate Management are so Dishonest, Driven by desire to gain the power on any level, but so scared of their own shadows. Soulless robots. Bunch of drunks too. G - Group of incompetent Lying Fools. Lack of loyalty to experienced and devoted team. Weak top leadership and organization. Lack of senior guidance or professionalism and understanding of hospitality industry. Weak culture and cultivates a negative, unethical and weak moral among workers.

Pros

Growth potential from entry level and mid-level positions is possible. Transfers from one property to another are allowed especially at entry and mid-level positions.

Cons

Corporate office is disconnected with the reality of property dynamics. Too few people doing too many jobs stretches your managers thin and makes them ineffective at their jobs. Corporate should be more involved with the day-to-day concerns on a hotel level. Guests want updated rooms and on a property level employees feel the pressure to apologize for things they have no control over. Benefits are a joke for the industry. Costs are too high for most employees to afford. Lack of consistent management make the job difficult. New GM and new accounting people every few months creates doubts in most of the staff for the stability of their own positions. Rumors of the hotel being sold are common.
