Pros

* High quality and interesting engineering products/projects which meaningfully improve people's lives and health * Competitive compensation, particularly in the healthcare technology sector * Highly qualified and intelligent employees who are great to work with * Good benefits and perks: nice cafeterias, frequent corporate sponsored events, "collegial" feel * Programs and support for career advancement and training (conferences, selective corporate programs, career coaching, etc) * High ownership environment: sink or swim

Cons

* Intense and unreasonable (changing) targets which are not adequately supported (managerially, financially, and logistically) * Questionable ethics (with regards to employee evaluations, expectations and relations): works very well for individuals with a certain personality -- highly optimistic, "yes sir", done matters more than whether it was done well, those who are highly confident (ie those who do not take personal accountability) * Significant barriers for career advancement & leveling

Pros

Strong mission-driven culture focused on improving patient outcomes and advancing robotic-assisted surgery. Excellent compensation, benefits, RSUs, and overall employee perks. Opportunity to work with highly skilled and knowledgeable cross-functional teams.

Cons

Work-life balance can be challenging depending on the team and project deadlines. Large-scale organizational changes and shifting priorities can create ambiguity.

Meaningful mission but recognition issues and low raises

Pros

Amazing mission, we’re all saving patients, no matter what our job is. Salary is competitive, but could be better. Great insurance. Stocks.

Cons

If your manager doesn’t give you visibility, you’ll be stuck in the same role for a very long time. And not all managers are willing to do that. Only the loudest voices get recognition and promotion, but the hard workers who always put their best get unnoticed or unrecognized. No diversity (the only diverse group are the ones in the manufacturing team). You start with a great salary but annual salary raises are very low, compared to other companies and the company is doing good. Disparity in income between sales roles and administrative roles.
