Pros

Honestly there are none, that come to mind. Especially when comparing against other employers I've worked for.

Cons

Management in the Finance Department is extremely unprofessional, power hungry, and creates a very hostile work environment. There are so many odd and unnecessary politics, that go on in this department. It has truly been an uncomfortable and upsetting experience to have worked here for me. I am very thankful that I have moved on to another job, and am no longer working here. FYI - The building that the Finance Department resides in is very old and filthy. It is full of odd allergies. There is definitely something very unhealthy residing in this building.

Pros

Pay was better than most nursing jobs. If you don't know what you're doing, you'll still have a job. Compartmentalization will solve cognitive dissonance (You'll do a lot before you realize what you have done).

Cons

It would be illegal for me to say what really goes on in that place. You might want to speak with the IT team if you want to know what happens with electronic medical records. If you can't prove something happens because it was recorded electronically and you try to say it out loud or write it down, it can be slander or libel.

Pros

The other stressed out nurses.

Cons

Understaffed, no support, administration including Human Resources do not support their nurses. They are cold and only think of the money. Constantly out off ratio even though California has set ratios they break them every shift. Leads take full groups so they are not a resource for all the new nurses, since so many veteran nurses have left to find more supportive hospitals to work in. Sentinel effect waiting to happen.
