Pros

Zero. None. Oh, the insurance is above average.

Cons

Everything. Bait and switch 101. They hire experienced sales reps with lies then expect them to be telemarketers. Micromanaged down to the hour, daily. It’s an SMB role at best.. Management has no clue what they are doing neither is management made up of intelligent people- more like washed up used cars salesmen who operate embarrassingly. Product is brutal to sell and so overpriced in many markets. Expectations that are so beyond unrealistic it’s comical. Intense training for weeks in Virginia as if you’re becoming a surgeon. It’s all so bad and if you are reading this save yourself and run so far away from accepting employment here. I don’t know 1 person who is happy, and this consists of lengthy conversations with dozens of people from all over the country. This is the tip of the iceberg.

Pros

Great training, encouraging staff- even if the use some negative psychological tactics to motivate you, overall everyone means well and wants you to succeed. Team oriented environment, perks like game room, prizes for achievements, and free lunches/breakfasts.

Cons

It's sales? I don't belong in sales, so I think my review is naturally going to biased. Poor base salary, you are basically below the poverty level for SF. Sure you make commission, but that one paycheck where you don't make any or very little, it really hurts. The call time is awful, when I worked there you had to be in at exactly 7:30am. Which is great to beat the traffic, but when you're commuting (and let's be honest where else are you going to live, but far away when you make so little), it blows.

Pros

Training, people, CEO energy and intelligence, salary, benefits, travel

Cons

It is a growing division and feels like a start up company. With that are some learning curves and growing pains.

Pros

Nice people on my immediate team, new office in irvine, lots of training.. too much?

Cons

awful leadership, change goals often, no explanations, given double quotas, micromanaging, track your every move, things are black or white, no job security in sales, they will put you on a pip for any of the dozen metrics you dont hit, not great product, bad reputation among clients

Pros

Great product and training processes to help sales people develop their skills and be successful in the role. A great place to gain experience in software sales and awesome direct leadership in the SF office. New office is amazing too right in the heart of the city.

Cons

Limited career growth opportunities. CoStar acquisition ripped the culture out of LoopNet and it reflects throughout the company.

Pros

-Great first job out of college -Resume builder -Great people -Can make money if you work hard -Great basic sales training -No prospecting, get 40+ new leads a day

Cons

-Low commission structure -You are the typical 'telemarketer' reaching out to people who fill out online lead forms. Those are not 'warm' leads, there simply giving there name number and email address to get free access to the website. then you call and harass them to pay for a premium membership so they can see more properties and get more exposure. Same pitch, every day. Redundant, tedious, hard-pressurized selling tactics -System is built for high turnover, that tells you something right there -Micro managing 'regional managers', whose only job is to 'help' you hit your target. AKA breathe down your back and ask you whats going on, meanwhile bringing no value to the table. -LOTS of cold calling. 80+ a day. (very respectable when applying for future sales positions) Despite all the cons, I learned a lot of great basic selling skills, gained phone presence and confidence, and I was able to land a legit sales job because of what I learned at LoopNet. make the most of it while you're there, stay a year to put on your resume and get out.

Pros

Training org is top notch, nothing in my review should reflect negatively on them. The value prop

Cons

desperate, bleeding revenue, trying to get new reps to stop the bleeding from their past mistakes. WAY to much time spent by each rep looking in the CRM to see if they can call the prospect.
