Pros

A plethora of helpful and friendly employees. Great 401k match.

Cons

Upper management is completely clueless. No effort to retain valuable employees or make them feel valued. No clear direction or plan for short term and long term goals. Requiring employees to work overtime with no pay increase, incentives, or even a “thank you.” New employees are being hired at over 10-20% more than what current employees are being paid. Offensively low yearly raises.

Loram Response

From your comments, I would guess that you were on a Loram machine. Since you "live" where your home is, you have control over that. Loram does not dictate where you live, and pays for your travel to/from wherever you tell us that you live. I suggest looking for another place to live if you dislike it that much. Although there are long hours at Loram, this is communicated CLEARLY during the interview and selection process. Loram makes no false references and actually embraces that this is a HARD and DIRTY job. All of our corporate videos and information stress that this is difficult and sometimes dangerous work. Loram prides itself on diversity - our work force is one of the most diverse in the industry, including individuals from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds. We employ individuals from over 30 different countries and appreciate the value that this brings to our company. Many individuals have stated that they feel right at home at Loram, due to the fact that there are so many individuals from so many different parts of the country and the world.
