Pros

the medical benefits are good

Cons

Where do you start? like so many other reviews the number one issue in this facility is management. Very few of the managers are even half way decent. The rest are part of the "good ole boys" network with the employees. As an employee if youare in this exclusive club you are set. Virtually untouchable. They will make sure you get all the tools you need in order to move up their ladder. These supervisors favorite past time, is discussing their issues about employees with these employees co workers. They even enjoy putting down other supervisors to the employees. Most, not all, of these supervisors have no clue as to how their departments work. Because of this, it makes it impossible to go to them to help with any problems you might be having. Its left for the employees to figure out among each other. All of upper managements attitudes about the employees who CONTRIBUTE to the bottom line is that we are nothing. They will let you know that if you dont like how things are, they have a stack of resumes to replace you. Instead of trying to find out your concerns and see if they cant resolve them, they will just tell you you can leave. You are a second class citizen to them. They have a "just do it" ideas program that is a farce. Putting tape on the floor or improving the pencil holders are whats accepted. Any real ideas to improve the processes or help streamline the flow of things are not accepted. The only ones that are intelligent enough to do that are the engineers. The golden children of mitsubishi. Engineers are the only smart ones in this company. They are allowed to work on their own timeline. If machines are down and they need to fix them, good luck. Most engineers are kids who have no clue. They are too busy treating the company like their personal playground and hook up sight. And rest assured though, YOU will be held accountable for their shortfall . They dont get things running, guess what, you will work sundays to make up for their laziness and incompetence. This company does not care about you or your family. You will work 95% of weekends. You will work a lot of sundays. If you dont like it, move on. They will make you work sundays leading up to holidays. Why? cause you will not get something from them without giving them something. So while planners, management, and the incompetent engineers fail to look ahead, they will enjoy their two day weekends and holidays while you work everyday to make up for their inabilities to do their jobs, just so maybe you can enjoy the holidays your supposed to get. All this starts from the top. Joe trains his minions to be this way. If the management is even remotely pro employee. Well, they wont last long. Management worships him and like a small child looking for the approval of their father, they will do ANYTHING necessary to get a pat on the head from him. Why dont you go to hr you may be wondering. Cant their included in said club you will get any where with them either. They are biased towards the company and management. They do not maintain a neutral ground. They will inform management that you came to them and what you told them. Guess what you are now a target. good luck when that happens. I do not think this is a reflection of the company, as much as this is a reflection of this specific facility. I believe the company as a whole is probably good, however the management team in THIS facility make it difficult to see. so in summary if you like be treated poorly, if you like being treated as if your dumb, if you enjoy not having a personal life this is the place for you. If you enjoy being treated as if your an actual intelligent person who likes to have a life outside of here, not the place for you

Mitsubishi Response

We deeply regret this “Manager” feels the way they do. In response, we can say that a) we have engaged an on-going plan to acquire and grow best-of-breed human resources, b) our spending on outings (executive, or otherwise) is unchanged over the past 4 years, and c) we expect our “Managers” to step up and be leaders. With respect to the last point, our management team has a 100% open door policy for feedback and ideas. And, we hope this manager reaches out to his supervisor to discuss these concerns and, as necessary, we will implement change. As for anyone else reading this, we hope you can see how seriously we take these types of comments – and, how important we feel it is to address and quickly resolve.

Pros

Great medical insurance, paid holidays, 6% 401K contribution, competitive pay.

Cons

Single? Broke? Desperate? You are exactly what we need at MHPSA Orlando! Come take a tour at our loud facility to find out more about our lean manufacturing and the way we hide all the extra parts we have stacked on pallets, each time a Japanese member of management is coming to visit. We greatly emphasize on safety, each time someone gets hurt. Our mandatory ideas program is great too, he have implemented more than 20 000 ideas on how to improve dust pans and plastic work benches, yet the ideas on how to save someone from hurting their back get swept in the trash can with our improved dust pans. Brilliant! Be prepared to work overtime, like it or not. Each Wednesday your plans for the weekend will be posted on a board for everyone to see where your hopes and dreams will die. There are great company holidays, each combined with a second or third day off. You will be required to work 7 days per week for a month prior to each holiday, possibly a month following your great time of relaxation. Don' worry though, all managers provide plenty of support on all three shifts during the long weekends of required overtime. After all, the local golf courses are close enough and they mentally support you at each and every hole. You do need to request you weekend freedom in writing, two weeks in advance, just make sure you don't do it too often or the five foot two Despicable Me manager will frown upon your miserable soul. Walk fast, say yes and don't forget to leave your smile at home. Welcome to MHPSA!
