Pros

Average pay Good work/life balance

Cons

Terrible management - should be written in caps - JUST TERRIBLE! Occasional layoffs time by time, with no direct reason. They just say one thing in All Hands Meetings, that everything is so awesome and outstanding, fenomenal year, almost in every All Hands meeting - and few months later, when they want to make layoffs - bad year, results are not so good, etc. Very strange management, company just loses talents, event the best ones will be just laid off, they don't care about people at all, although they say they will!

I'm sorry to hear your experience with Perforce hasn't met your expectations. Our All Hands meetings are key to our transparent communication to employees. In those meetings, we report on the good things happening in the company and our performance to our plan. That includes details on when we are not performing to plan, why we're not performing to plan and how we are fixing things. While the business needs to adjust to changes in the industries we serve, I'm happy to say we have done a great job in retaining our top talent with one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry. We've promoted more people this year than ever and will continue to enhance the careers of our employees that are doing great work. The leadership team at Perforce cares deeply about our employees and their success. I'd be happy to talk more to you about your specific situation if you'd like to have a deeper conversation. Feel free to schedule some time with me. ~Jim Cassens, CEO

Pros

Management and CEO are good people, but mostly comes down to your direct report. Company has plenty of different products that employees can choose from.

Cons

Sub-par benefits. No equity, and base salary is based on national average rather than your state average.

Thanks for leaving a review. I appreciate the feedback. We do strive to offer competitive wages and benefits. We added several new offerings to our healthcare plans this year and will look to add new options in the future. When looking at employee salary, we do compare against local salary ranges both within and outside of the US and states in order to ensure we offer competitive compensation packages. You mention one area that I do believe makes us unique - our rich portfolio allows employees to work on different technologies based on the solutions they are working with. We have over 60 unique products, providing a lot of variety and opportunities. Thanks again for the post. ~Jim Cassens, CEO
