Good Perks, Low Wages

Pros

Remote or Hybrid work schedule, if you live outside of the city limits. Unlimited PTO policy, but is PTO ever unlimited.

Cons

There is not much room for advancement, if you’re not connected. Most of middle management and above are not POC. All the strong POC leaders were here today, gone the next day! The staff is overworked and underpaid. Only way to receive a higher salary is to resign and reapply. I survived a few CEOs, and once this last one came in all the tenured staff were being let go. Normal, if a new Executive comes in but there people were 15+ years in. This new PlanSource does not seem as if it cares much for their employees. Most of the workload is being outsourced to India. I’ve seen good, hardworking dedicate people get axed during my time! Not sure they’re invested in retaining good talent! Definitely a swim or sink culture, You will not get much help with learning the Benefits Admin system. It’s sort of a self-guided dive in approach.

Pros

The best part is the employees. We have a collaborative, talented team that makes work enjoyable and fun. Leadership values my input and ideas, encouraging growth and process improvement. The work environment is positive and promotes employee engagement and community. Leadership understands that family comes first and is flexible when situations arise. They challenge me with learning opportunities and support me in taking the next step in my career.

Cons

Salary and benefits could be more competitive. While basic training is provided, the role requires significant self-driven learning and finding your own resources. Frequent release of new features can introduce unexpected bugs, which can make the work challenging. Inconsistent work processes across teams—some use different tools and methods—which can lead to inefficiencies and communication gaps. Work-life balance can be a challenge during Q4 depending on your role.

Pros

PlanSource has exceeded my expectations regarding culture, work-life balance, teamwork and collaboration. We have a very warm and team centric culture, leadership understands we have lives outside of work, pay and benefits are competitive, work is remote, and time off is flexible. Bonus is strong leadership/C-Suite and growth in the market!

Cons

With rapid growth comes a bit of chaos and organizational struggles - this is to be expected. But this also generates loads of opportunities to make an impact. Know that to move forward in the interview process, you will have to take a timed exam. Do yourself a favor and pay the $30 for the full guide and practice tests!!

We're thrilled to hear that your experience at PlanSource has exceeded your expectations - especially when it comes to our culture, work-life balance and collaborative environment. You're absolutely right that with growth comes change and we see that "organized chaos" as a sign of progress and innovation. We appreciate team members like you who embrace that energy and help turn it into impact. Thank you again for being part of the journey and for recognizing the dedication of our teams and leaders. We're excited about the momentum ahead and grateful to have you on board as we continue to grow together. - The PlanSource Team
