Pros

I believe the employees doing the work are genuine and have the best interest of their teams in mind when executing projects and trying to make impossible asks come to fruition.

Cons

In my opinion, Post is a challenging environment for several reasons. The company is going through a time of transition with new senior leadership, taking on new capabilities and expanding into new spaces, which is exciting. However, a lot is being asked of employees to do things that they’ve never done before and instead of seeking to understand challenges, leadership has the tendency to discount the expertise of the people executing the work. I believe a lot of employees do not feel as if their voice is being heard or that they are believed when raising issues. I also feel that the leadership team in place does not have the managerial skills or experience to be in the positions they are to help enable the company to change. At a high-level, it seems that there is a lack of strategy, if there is it isn’t being communicated properly. I believe that a lot of the manager/director levels are confused and vs asking questions or pushing back they accept decisions. Certain leaders tend to place blame on their team vs lifting them up or defending them, it appears it is easier for some individuals to point fingers vs actually doing the due diligence to properly understand the business. Constructive conflict is severely lacking likely due to a fear of repercussion. Additionally, all of this change is on top of there being a global pandemic. There has been little acknowledgment of the stressors that employees are facing outside of the office and more and more is being asked of them. While a lot of companies are being extremely cognizant of employee health, mental well-being and life circumstances I feel that PCB has fallen short. Finally, they recently went through a layoff that I heard impacted the Lakeville office, a lot of “do-ers” were let go vs those in higher level positions.

Pros

The people are great, but they just laid off 46 awesome employees in Nov. 2021 in Marketing and Sales.

Cons

There are many: - New leadership in Marketing are absolutely ruthless. They blame you unless you are lucky to be assigned 1 of the 2 brands that are actually growing, even though there’s this thing called the pandemic that is more likely to blame. - If your business isn’t growing, you won’t be promoted, and you are more likely to be fired for no reason, even though leadership will tell you “there is no such thing as trap doors.” - They just laid off 46 employees in Marketing and Sales in Nov. 2021 for no reason… while several of the positions that were alleviated are now posted as open positions. - Leadership has no idea what they’re doing, expect us to go faster when the systems we use do not allow that to happen, and they do not care for their employees at all. You’re just a number on a spreadsheet. - No work/life balance. - Save your time and look elsewhere if you’re looking for jobs in Marketing or Sales.

More layoffs coming

Pros

Not much for pros these days

Cons

Post used to be a great place to work and a place that people desired to be. Leadership is out of touch with reality it seems. Because Post used to be very team oriented, valued their employees and cared about their growth within the organization, many have stuck around just hoping to have some of that back but it sadly is not going to happen. The company is clearly going through transition. There is no longer any opportunities for growth within the organization as well. There is a lot of great talent leaving the organization and there have also been layoffs. It's been hard watching layoffs and feeling like you have no idea on the direction of the company. It's been hard watching everyone look out for themselves rather than work together. Additionally, there is no longer a work/life balance. The work environment is now extremely hostile with new leaders treating employees in a demeaning way and being quite vulgar versus professional.
