They 'lay-off' 100+ people every year. You'll eventually be one of them. Most IT are contractors from another country that sends a lot of IT folks each year to the US under H1-B visas.... Management will rarely talk to you, unless they are going to a meeting, then they will quiz you about everything so they appear to know what they are talking about in the meeting...you know, the meeting you should have been invited to, but you weren't...... Managers are basically clueless. They hire good people underneath them, then take all of the credit when projects go well. Managers will also promote only the people they like, so it won't matter how good you are, if they don't like you, you won't go up, get a good raise, and will eventually be laid off.

They fire and rehire contractors Management has no clue or real IT work They have a very thick management and less people working on active work Opinions of employees doesn't matter Employees are treated as slaves rather than humans No growth and you will be stuck . Upper management will bring their own people and not really provide growth opportunities They have a very crappy health insurance There is a dress code in the office They are very conservative and work opposite to traditions of a Silicon Valley There is no innovation
