Working at Sammons Financial has been one of the most disappointing job experiences I’ve ever had. Employees are consistently undervalued, overworked, and underpaid. Management operates with no real regulations or consistency—it’s entirely dependent on how they’re “feeling” that week. The hot-and-cold mentality is exhausting and creates a very unstable and draining environment.
HR is not there to support employees in any meaningful way. Their only real function seems to be hiring and firing; if you bring forward a concern or need assistance, don’t expect any help. The workplace culture is toxic, with bullying and constant setups for failure no matter how hard you work. It’s a hostile environment that wears people down quickly.
To make matters worse, the attendance policy was recently changed in a way that is especially punishing for families with young children. Employees now lose points for being sick, which shows how little the company values health, family, or work-life balance.
Overall, Sammons Financial is not a supportive or fair place to work. The lack of accountability, poor leadership, and disregard for employees makes this a company I would not recommend to anyone.
