Pros

Excellent benefits, competitive wages, great customer base There are a lot of employee appreciation-related events that show someone, somewhere cares (although, in customer service, you will NEVER participate)... if you work in a different department.

Cons

This is a call center job, though saying that is akin to using a curse word in the department. You are micro-managed in all regards, even if you prove yourself. You can exceed all expectations, and unless you're one of the elite "favorites", nothing you do will ever be good enough. Unless they need something from you. Also, make sure you don't get sick, have a family emergency, or have someone die, because you can pretty much forget about them working with you. Management will talk poorly and unprofessionally about you, their management, any co-workers, etc. to anyone who will listen. This place is an HR nightmare. Despite being well over-qualified, you will not get promoted. Also, the no cell phone rule is strictly enforced, so in the event that you have urgent personal matters to attend to... you're out of luck. If you are hard-working, honest, driven, career-minded, or kind, please listen to me - look elsewhere.

Pros

The hourly pay , Bring you pet to work day, free food brought in.

Cons

The management here is very negative and talk about employees in front of myself and other peers and other senior management or a regular basis. You are micromanaged down to the second as it relates to how many times you use the restroom, if you need to take a quick phone call, break time, etc. Your after call time is also looked it, it should take less then 1 min. The management will have someone assigned to stay after there shift to see if you are min your scheduled breaks, getting up often to use the restroom etc. Be aware even upon the hiring process you advise them of a documented medical need it will be taken into consideration for extended break times etc. During my time here in customer service your are expected to respond to personal e-mails from customers, manage what is referred to as electric request, manage the company E-mail box in which clients send around 100 plus request a day and respond to and require research ,process returns, while still handling incoming calls. Phone calls are typically directed to you because both your first and last name must be provided along with your phone number and extension. You are expected adhere to 4 mins a call. Internal partners you work with are rude and everything will fall on your shoulders because you are expected to be liaison between the customer and back office team sales etc. I would strongly advise someone to reconsider this role unless you are trying to just have a temp job for nice income and or move forward in another company within the year or so. The turnover is now at 93% percent for certain departments that includes Tri-Anim within Sarnova. There isn't much promotion within Sarnova. Once you work 12 months are you open to apply to different roles however There are few roles like inside sales, contracts. Higher positions like management, accounting, corporate, human resources etc. They are limited and typically look for external candidates with a bachelor degree and prior years experience. Lastly health insurance is okay there are 2 choices to pick from low and high with a choice of a HSA. However the heath insurance will be costly with both eye and dental the amount out of each check came to $130.00 per check and 410K does not match I believe only at 2%. The PTO you only receive 1 day within the first 90 days the other 2 weeks are accrued with hours worked and each 4 hours given each time you get paid. You cannot use this time within the 90 days and you aren't allowed time off until after 90 days of employment. I hope this information helps someone make a informed decision.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Our Customer Care Department is best in class and an overwhelming 90% of our CC team members are proud to tell others that they work for Sarnova. That statistic puts our CC team at the top of the pack as it pertains to job satisfaction. Our Customer Care team is exceptionally vested in the support they provide our customers as we truly help our customers save lives. Being mindful of that fact, it is very important that our CC team adheres to attendance requirements as gaps in coverage for our customers can have a significant adverse impact on our customers and team members. Lastly, our benefits benchmarks detail that our benefit coverage is very good compared to companies of our size Nationwide. We are always sad to hear that a small number of our employees have had a negative experience while working at Sarnova. But as always, we love hearing from everyone, both good and bad. We can never improve if we don't hear from folks on the team.

Pros

There’s a lot of good employees and on paper good mission.

Cons

All senior leadership cares about is making money and never thinks about putting their employees first. There is so much turnover in departments, you never know where to go for answers or to get help. Management isn’t held accountable to do their jobs or lead and develop their teams and often use scare tactics to keep us in line. Those in lower levels positions are expected to carry the weight of their managers role and their counterparts that get to work remotely. Each year the HR department conducts an employee survey but consistently sugarcoats the results and refuses to admit things need improvement. If it doesn’t fit their agenda it doesn’t get talked about.
