Pros

Sevan is a place where I feel seen and heard when I bring up things I want to see or change. It is a very collaborative environment, and I love that I get to work with such a great team and wonderful managers. They explain, are very thorough, transparent and are here to help me grow. Overall, best place I have worked at by far!

Cons

I really have no cons at the moment. I know working remote can be difficult, but the company is finding solutions to help ease that and help us all gather at different times of the year.

A lot of traveling & overnight stays in the cheapest hotels they can find. Boring monotonous work with down & out co-workers

Thank you for your feedback. I'm truly sorry that your experience did not meet our goal of making Sevan a great place to work for our team members. Your advice about improving training is much appreciated and we are working hard on that. For example, we've instituted a Mentor Program to help team members have a dedicated resource for both personal support and training. We're also working to improve our face-to-face/new hire training process, we are aggressively expanding our library of SevanTube training videos, and are developing an online company KnowledgBase. Recently, we began our series of monthly TechTalk live webinars, which gives team members the opportunity to learn, train, and get the answers they need. We are proud that our team members have named us a Great Place to Work® for four years in a row, and that we have been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois. However, we also know that we can always do better. So thank you once again for your feedback, it helps us make Sevan a better place to work.

Pros

Company has established itself in the multi site construction segment in a short amount of time. Company growth has primarily been through the hiring of project managers who brought their customers with them. The market is large so there is plenty of room for continued growth.

Cons

Employment is based upon billable hours. The reason is that the business model is primarily time and materials. Recently the company is struggling to gain new customers on a fixed price basis, but efforts to improve productivity have not been successful. In an effort to grow share of existing customer wallet new services have been added. In order to be profitable individual resources in the field are pushed beyond reasonable work hours and conditions.

I apologize for being tardy in responding, but nevertheless want to thank you for your feedback. Much has changed since you posted your review. For example, we have added new blue-chip clients such as Albertsons, BP, Office Depot, and PetSmart. In addition, our existing clients, including 7-Eleven, McDonald's, Sheetz, and Walgreens have deepened their relationships with Sevan while increasing their program work. The result has been that our revenue doubled in 2016, and we anticipate 50% or higher growth for 2017. You are correct that we've added new services and are pleased that these have been major contributors to our success, as they have enabled us to deliver better results to our clients... in more timely and cost-effective ways. Your advice about improving program management productivity tools and management visibility of operations is well taken. Since your review, we have rolled out multiple new productivity tools for our field team members, and are currently upgrading our management, reporting, and back-office systems to enhance operational and financial efficiency.
