Pros

Great kids, they make everyday a new adventure. Great coworkers, friendly & lots of camaraderie. Good part of town, decent hours.

Cons

Prospective BCBA's & people in grad school for ABA - BEWARE! You will NOT get supervision here, even though they promise you will in your interview. The building - It is falling apart even though it is BRAND NEW. Several toilets out of order at a time, one bathroom for staff, leaks when it rains and causes mold in the ceilings, and constant flow of maintenance people trying to fix the poor building job. Pay - For the work, it's decent. However, all of the bonuses they tell you about in the interview are an absolute fabrication. Under no circumstances will you get bonuses unless you get promotion (which doesn't happen). I was promised 3 pay raises (2 after performance reviews and 1 after a skills checklist completion) and wasn't given any. Training - They will put you with aggressive kids WITHOUT the necessary training. This is the 2nd shadiest thing they do. He Said, She Said - The shadiest thing that they do is to go back on what they promised you (bonuses, time off, scheduling, necessary training for career advancement) and pretend like it's "the management's fault" when they are the management and they are the only ones who make those decisions.

Pros

-The clients are great and there are a lot of materials available to do therapy with. -The company culture creates a fun place to work. -Most of the BCBA's are a good resource when needing help programming for a client. -The RBT's are fun to work with and they really care about what they do, even though they're not always trained properly.

Cons

- Training is almost non-existent. Therapists get placed with kid's on day one because they hold off so long to hire (to make more money). If a therapist is not an RBT, the training is completely online with nothing put in place to assure their quality except these very basic checklists which almost never get done. - Another reason why they're less concerned about hiring is because if there are not enough therapists to cover the clients, the BCBA'S have to do the therapy without pay. They still bill insurance, but the hours do not count towards the BCBA's billable hour quota. - Management will promise promotions, raises, procedure changes, and anything else they can to keep you happy in the moment, but they are empty promises with no intention of being delivered. This is a pattern across all employees, RBT's and BCBA's. - The owner, and others at coorporate, are so focused on keeping families that have been with the company a long time happy, that they undermine the BCBA's decisions without consulting with them. This also creates an unfair baised towards those families over newer families coming on.

Pros

The children and their families are the only reason to work here. The impact you make on their lives is significant, and the clinical experience gained from the clients themselves is invaluable.

Cons

Systemic favoritism, lack of professional boundaries, ineffective HR department, and a culture of intimidation.
