I'm sorry to hear you are so unhappy here, but I would recommend you continue offering solutions to the challenges you are facing. Our new CEO is wants to hear new and differing perspectives, so I encourage you to take advantage of that opportunity.

Pros

It was great to work here at first. I felt a sense of mentorship and encouragement from some really smart people, because of this I learned a lot in a short amount of time and felt confident about doing my job. Unfortunately, almost all of these people found better opportunities elsewhere or were gotten rid off.

Cons

A lot of micro management started to happen, no sense of leadership anymore, management seemed extremely stressed and took this out on teams, employees were constantly pushed to work overtime to "get the job done" instead of be honest about how long things should take. New direct manager was straight up degrading, it was crazy how night and day it was compared to how is was for the majority of the time since I started working here. Also, this is just a personal preference, but accounting software is not exciting at all.

A review of 1-star indicates to me the entire employment experience at the company is subpar. However, in reading this review it appears this may be a more specific concern regarding the leadership under a team or group. It’s very unfortunate that you never expressed your concerns to the CTO or to HR if you needed confidentiality. Micromanagement is a common mistake of first time or early career people leaders, especially those who have been promoted from within. I know that our Engineering department has recently promoted some individuals to first time people leader roles which is great because we keep hearing that our employees want career paths and development. However, with new people leaders comes some growing pains that have to be worked out through training and mentorship. Your comment has been noted and we will ensure our people leaders get the mentorship while we continue to develop our companywide leadership development programs so we get ahead of preventable issues like this. Sorry you left without anyone being able to address this, it’s unfortunate you feel that your overall experience with Trintech was 1-star as this does not represent the type of company or culture we are cultivating.
