Pros

The team is great. The best team I've ever worked with. Everyone was like family.

Cons

Before I left, 6 people were promoted in my face. 3 of tthem I trained. 5 of them came after me. And they were all white or lightskinned Spanish. Darker toned people don't get promoted.

Pros

- Danny Meyer's philosophy of Enlightened Hospitality, as described in his book Setting the Table, is powerful and should be both learned and practiced no matter what industry one works in.

Cons

- Very little opportunity for growth. Management will keep you in your role as long as possible at the lowest possible pay grade. - Uninspiring work with no incentive structure. Be prepared to ask for a raise/promotion. - Divided work environment. There are clear barriers between levels and roles which leaves certain employees to feel disconnected and disengaged.

Pros

Good people on staff (those who don’t quit) Good insight into different aspects of service and restaurants

Cons

Many..... the low pay is at the top, this is something the the company will never acknowledge unfortunately. The amount of work and effort expected vs the amount of money you bring home (especially when you see your check average) should immediately turn away any perspective employee. Disorganized communication between management and front of house. Staff are generally working excessive double shifts due to an incredible turnover rate. Hospitality Included aka Revenue Share does not work.
