Pros

Overall good company to work for, decent benefits, good social environment.

Cons

For me the stress level was very high. They expected me (and I was told) and other employees to work overtime regularly. There was limited communication on the expectations. They also had this expectation that as an hourly employee entitled to at least a 30min lunch break I shouldn’t take one. I was told the salaried employees don’t take breaks, so it was implied I shouldn’t take one either. I took a break for 5 minutes, and was accused of daydreaming at work. They appear have a tendency to lean towards nepotism. They seem to hire a lot of family members, including in the HR team, who are related to someone who previously worked for or currently works for company. They advertise having a good healthy work-life balance but they didn’t allow me to work in such manner. This was my experience and how I felt working there. Others may feel differently. Watch out for this things if you are looking to work for V3.

V3 Companies Response

Thank you for your review. While we don’t respond to every negative review, we would like to correct a few points: • We are a growing and busy firm and at times our employees do work overtime which is common in our industry. One of our firm’s core values is Dedication to Employees. We believe that our people are our most valuable asset and V3’s HR Department takes their responsibility to provide high level service to our 300+ employees very seriously. • Like most firms, we use a variety of recruitment sources to find and hire talented individuals. One of those sources is our Employee Referral Program and through it, we encourage our staff to refer qualified individuals from their network. Whether candidates come to V3 through the Employee Referral Program, or through one of our many other diverse recruitment sources, we strive to hire the best people based on merit and qualifications. • V3 is committed to providing an environment that is both challenging and rewarding. We have many employees who have been with V3 for 20+ years. We believe there are numerous reasons why employees join V3 and choose to remain here for a long time. We offer flexible remote work schedules; opportunities to volunteer during the work week through our V3 Social Responsibility (VSR) program, individual and team wellness activities and challenges through our REVITALIZE Wellness Program; and fun social events where we enjoy hanging out with our coworkers. We believe these types of programs and events help our employees have a healthy work-life balance. • The engineering industry as a whole is striving to become more diverse. Although there is more work to do, we are committed to increasing diversity within our firm. V3’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee has several programs and initiatives that are aimed toward building a diverse and inclusive workplace. V3 offers a scholarship program for minority engineering students. The program provides financial, professional and personal support to the selected recipients. We also partner with local mentoring organizations in diverse areas to provide support to high school students who may be interested in STEM education programs. We celebrate diversity by recognizing Heritage Months such as Black History Month, Women’s History Month, PRIDE, etc. In order to ensure new employees feel a sense of belonging, a V3 Welcome Committee hosts social events for new employees joining V3. In addition, we are committed to diversity training and workplace awareness by providing training opportunities to staff. These are just a few examples of what V3 is doing to help create a more diverse and inclusive workplace that fosters a respectful and welcoming environment for all employees.

Pros

CEO is very nice but gets snowed easily by some upper managers

Cons

Rampant age descrimination Horrendous gender descrimination against women, especially salaries Lack of professionalism from management - very crude demeaning improper emails Lack of software training - have to figure it out yourself when upgrades were made Never have been treated so horribly in my life - regret my stay there of several years but kept thinking it would get better. Beware of back stabbing from division managers, even those who have no supervision of you Beware of backstabbing from your own division manager
