Pros

I have the pleasure of working under Chrissy Garcia RVP. Her leadership has made a huge impact on my professional growth. She provides consistent support through weekly check-ins and clear communication. Her management style is data driven. Everyone receives the same weekly report outlining recertification progress, vacancy numbers, and work orders, which allows you to see your property’s performance across the portfolio. She has a genuine way of speaking with you that makes you feel seen and supported, even with everything she has on her plate. I’ve learned so much under her guidance, and she sets a great example of what strong leadership looks like. Winn trains you and gives you so much knowledge on affordable programs. Plenty of ATO, holidays, and sick pay.

Cons

You wear many hats when you work as a manager under Winn. It’s great if you like to be busy and take ownership of your work. Never an opportunity to be bored because there’s always something to do.

Pros

Winn allowed me the a flexible schedule, I had a great supervisor who allowed me to do my job, by my rules with little interaction, unless needed. I got very little feedback, either good or bad but, appreciated the confidence she had in me to complete responsibilities.

Cons

Winn has grown so much over the past few years and it's integrity has suffered. What was once a very proactive management team, has become a reactive team. They no longer spend time showing their employees how to do it the right way but, instead spend twice the amount of time putting out fires after the fact. Being the largest company in the industry now out weighs being the best.

Pros

There are some good people who give their all

Cons

Unless you are part of the clique, forget getting anywhere. You might as well be back in high school. They try to say they promote from within, but in reality, the same group of people gets promoted every two years. As long as you're part of the "in" crowd you're not expected to do anything or follow policy. Management expects everyone else to do all the work so they can take all the credit. It's a shame that so many good people have left within the last year.
