We recently released a new 23andMe+ report on preeclampsia, powered by 23andMe research. Preeclampsia is a pregnancy complication that causes persistent high blood pressure and in some cases, injury to organs like the liver and kidneys. The onset and severity of preeclampsia can vary greatly, but it typically develops later in pregnancy and resolves after delivery. Members can learn about their genetic likelihood of developing it and actions they can take to minimize risk.
JP’s cross-functional role involves working with many people across the company and ensuring everyone has all the information they need to proceed with their projects. Most recently, JP supported the Product Science team in developing and releasing new reports and supporting the Insights/Reports and ancestry product workstreams. Before Lemonaid Health was acquired by 23andMe, JP was part of the Business Operations team. She supported Lemonaid Health in their Series B fundraising, scaling their pharmacy and medical teams, and leading their in-house medical licensing team. Since the acquisition, JP has had the pleasure of getting to know and working with various teams. "There are exciting things in the works, and I'm thrilled to be a part of such a passionate and innovative team. I appreciate all the help, support, and patience I've received from all my new colleagues over the past few months." When asked about her hobbies and life outside of work, JP mentioned that she loves exploring her creative side. "I enjoy challenging myself to pick up new skills and bringing my ideas to life.
