The Dog Days are Over! Carolyn tripped over her dog Honey in her apartment (which was cluttered from her move) and broke her left clavicle. As a result, Carolyn found herself in a sling. Physical therapy worked on helping her navigate and balance while using her walker. Occupational therapy worked on decluttering her apartment and dog management. Speech therapy worked on executive functioning skills. And now, Carolyn is now able to navigate the hallways with Honey and take care of her again! (H/T to Hillary Keller, PTA, and Katie Mitrou, COTA!)

The EmpowerMe Wellness team recently treated the residents of Highgrove at Tates Creek in Lexington, KY to an epic "walker wash"! They had the seniors travel through a giant sprinkler to get their wheelchairs and walkers all sparkly clean, then followed it up with a big watergun battle! As one resident told the crew: “I’ve lived here six years and I've never had this much fun before!”
