Etsy Staff Product Manager Catherine Delgado recently sat down with our partner The Mom Project for a candid conversation around career shifts and working motherhood. Folks often think that their career trajectory is going to be linear, but so often there are ebbs and flows along the way. Cat shared how her career goals have evolved since becoming a mother, the way she balances responsibilities and gives herself grace, and the role that employer-provided parental benefits have played in her parenthood journey. At Etsy, we know that welcoming a new member to a family is transformative, and we’ve led the way in offering robust caregiving benefits for our team members. As Cat highlights, we also understand that caregiving extends beyond the first few months of parenthood. We’re proud to build a workplace that embraces leave and enables employees at all stages of life to thrive. Thanks to Cat for speaking to the personal impact those benefits have had for her!

When our sellers succeed, we succeed. 🧡 That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we’re expanding Etsy Payments to sellers in seven new countries over the upcoming months: 🇺🇦Ukraine, 🇮🇳India, 🇦🇷Argentina, 🇨🇱Chile, 🇯🇵Japan, and 🇵🇪Peru. What does this multimarket expansion of our core payments technology mean? 🌍 More confident and smooth transactions, with a wider range of payment options to purchase or sell special, unique items. And with this expansion, Etsy welcomes new sellers to Etsy’s already vibrant Ukraine seller community, opening new economic opportunities for artisans and creative entrepreneurs at a time when the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine is championing enhanced digital commerce and online business efforts in Ukraine. We’re so excited to see how this new capability will help sellers to expand their reach, and we cannot wait to see the potential that this Etsy Payments can unlock for our community at large. We’re just getting started!
We’re thrilled to welcome our 5th cohort of Etsy Uplift Makers: the Oaxaca Artesanía Collective! This group of 17 artisans – the majority of whom are women – are the first entirely international group of Uplift artisans and have created a range of unique, handcrafted items inspired by their homeland and using traditional techniques. Etsy’s Uplift Makers Program, run in partnership with nonprofit Nest , creates financial opportunities and opens doors to ecommerce for heritage artisan communities that have faced economic hardships. The makers of the Oaxaca Artesanía Collective have the tools and support to open and operate Etsy shops, offering a pathway to economic opportunity and also serving as a means of preserving their culture. Shop and support the incredible creations from the Oaxaca Artesanía Collective, available exclusively on Etsy.

I also have more time with my playful cat, Buckbeak, who always keeps me company during work hours and even drops by our team's daily meetings for a quick visit!” We're delighted to feature Senior Software Engineer, Victor Servin, for this month's remote spotlight! Etsy was delighted to welcome New York State elected officials Senator Kristen Gonzalez, Assemblymember Emily Gallagher, their staff and a representative from Assemblywoman Latrice M. Walker’s office to our Brooklyn office last week. The big topics of interest? Affordable and accessible childcare, as well as supporting NY-based small businesses were some of the areas Etsy COO Raina Moskowitz and VP of Marketplace Initiatives and Strategic Sourcing James Ossman discussed on behalf of Etsy and our vibrant seller community. We look forward to working with policymakers in Albany on key initiatives that help creative makers and small businesses thrive.
