Participating sellers will receive unique links they can share on their personal marketing channels and among friends and family. When buyers visit a seller’s Etsy shop via their link and make a purchase, Etsy will take 4% of the order total off the seller’s bill, helping them save on fees. Our 2023 Summer of Service is in full swing! Here are a few of the moments we loved so far – and photos from even more: ☀️ In Atlanta, our remote employees spent time with Truly Living Well Urban Farm, where we pulled weeds, cleared paths, and sifted soil. 🍃 Our partnership with City Parks Foundation led us to Brooklyn's Fort Greene Park, where one of our largest volunteer groups yet brightened up the landscape through cleanup efforts. 🐴 In Dublin, our volunteer efforts were a true labor of love, lending a helping hand at My Lovely Horse Rescue. 🌍 In Mexico City, we helped out at Huerto Roma Verde’s community garden, composting and planting (count ‘em!) 42 bamboo trees. It's Friday and your work calendar is free of meetings! How is that possible? Well, at Etsy, it might just be a Focus Day. These intermittent company-wide, no-meeting days are dedicated to catching up and making significant progress on our work, without interruptions. The best part is, it helps us maintain sustainable schedules. Instead of squeezing five days of meetings into four, we take this opportunity to review our calendars, cancel non-essential meetings, and make our meetings more effective. Etsy recently reported our second quarter 2023 financial results. The Etsy marketplace’s active buyers reached an all-time high in the second quarter, signaling the relevance of our brand and our ability to create opportunities for our sellers. This growth in buyers helped our core marketplace return to year-over-year GMS growth in May and June, and we are pleased to see GMS growth continue into the beginning of the third quarter.
